2-TIMES • Art
Alex Hubbard,
‘Chemical
Compulsion’
@ Eva Presenhuber
—
“A lasting
collection of
‘almost failure
moments’.”
The exhibition:
Is Los Angeles-
based Hubbard's
third solo with
Eva Presenhuber,
weaving together
both fields of
painting and
videography by
using the same
approach in each
medium — creating
each piece according
to a ‘not so perfect
plan’, that is, a plan
made to fail.
‘Chemical
Compulsion’:
Split across three
rooms, the artist
presents a new
series of nine
paintings, which
are showcased
alongside a new
video work, titled
‘Interior I’.
“His paintings, like
the videos, always
have the potential to
unmoor themselves
from their original
plan...
—
This gives the
paintings a lot of
space for accidents
& unpredictabilities
to take place during
the process.”
On view at:
Eva Presenhuber
—
Zahnradstrasse 21,

Closes:
