‘zerodayolds’:
Is a compound of
two concepts;
—
Zero-day refers
to an unknown
exploit in the wild
that exposes a
vulnerability in
software or hardware,
and can create
complex problems
well before anyone
realizes something is
actually wrong
&
Day-olds is a term
used to denote pastries
baked on the previous
day, which remain
unsold & are offered
at discounted prices.
“... perhaps Wadden
sees himself as a textile
hacker, using the
‘code’ of weaving
without reverence for
its professionalism?”
The exhibition:
Is Canadian-born
Wadden's 3rd solo
with Peres Projects
in Berlin, presenting
a new series of large-
scale woven works
that further his
investigation of
color and form –
using both light &
darkness to create
stark positive and
negative spaces,
which optically shift
from foreground to
background.
