2-TIMES  Art
Ida Ekblad,
Proper Stuff
@ Herald St
—

Space is not
neutral – space
is a doubt. I have
constantly
to mark
it, to
designate it.
It is never mine,
never given to
me, I have to
conquer it
’

The exhibition:
Is Oslo-born &
based Ida Ekblad's
4th
solo at Herald St
in Londonpresenting
[4] new color-soaked
paintings, incorporating
a mixture of plastisol
and puff paste, which
was originally used by
the artist as a teenager
— thus recalling some
of the show's key
themes; childhood
and family trips.

I've been thinking
about what our
various flats looked
like growing up, the
pine furniture, the
record players, black
vinyl 45's with dust
dancing on them in
the sun and the sound
they made when the
record was over.

On view at:
Herald St

43 Museum St,
London WC1A 1LY,
United Kingdom.

Closes:
January 28, 2018.
