2-TIMES  Art
Leonor Antunes,
a thousand
realities from
an original mark

@ Marian Goodman
Gallery
—

A unique
contemplation on
modern art,
architecture and
design through a
reinterpretation
of sculpture...

The exhibition:
Is Portuguese-born
Antunes's first solo
with Marian Goodman,
occupying both floors
of the gallery, with a
series of works that
can be viewed as a
continuation of her
recent presentation at
the Whitechapel Gallery
in London—employing
materials such as rope,
leather, cork, wood,
brass, and rubber to
create unusual forms.

Some of Leonor's
influences:
· Anni Albers
· Mary Martin
· Eileen Gray

Title reference:
a thousand realities
from an original
mark
’ is a poetic
allusion to a text
by influential 20th
century architect
Alison Smithson,
published in a book
entitled “Upper lawn:
solar pavilion folly”.
