2-TIMES  Art
Oliver Payne,
EXHAUST:
BLACK NOISE /
TOXIC WASTE

@ Herald St
—

Every dish
on the menu
is an effigy
to a different
robot, itself a
simulation of
the human
form.”

Key reference:
French sociologist
Jean Baudrillard's
book, entitled
Simulacra and
Simulation’.

The exhibition:
Is British-born
Oliver Payne's third
solo with Herald St,
for which the artist
closely explores the
notion of simulation;
where everything is
turned into an image,
a conduit for new
meaning.

In Payne's work,
readymade objects
have been removed
from their functional
use and turned into
replicas, imitations &
symbols – performing
as stand-ins for
something else.

If nothing is real,
then everything is
equally real.

On view at:
Herald St

2 Herald St,
London E2 6JT,
United Kingdom.

Closes:
January 28, 2017.
