“A somewhat
dark, direct and
honest vision of
the world; inviting
us to look at
things differently,
going beyond the
evidence of glossy
aesthetics and
penetrating the
identity itself of
an image.”
Born / Based:
1972, Lyon.
The exhibition:
Pierre–Olivier
Arnaud's fourth
solo presentation
at Art : Concept
brings together a
series of silk–screen
prints captured by
the artist since
2015 – a corpus of
images harvested
from the daily
press or during
urban strolls.
Process / idea:
Enlargement,
desaturation,
framing and
pixelation to
the extreme.
“Annihilating
any relation
to reality and
creating a kind
of space-time
impossibility,
reaffirmed
by the title
‘un autre halo’
(another halo) –
a fragment of
a sentence
without capital
letters, without
beginning or end.”
