Luisa Mè,
‘Look at me!’
@ T293
—
‘An invitation to
go beyond an
immediate and
instinctive
participation...’
The exhibition:
Is the Italian-born
and London-based
artist duo, Luisa Mè's
first official public
presentation, featuring
a series of paintings
and sculptures that
evoke an energetic
yet rebellious nature,
referencing visual
cues from religious
iconography.
Artist statement:
“The work is the
result of a confused
and rough process:
the painting gets
dirty as we move
it around the studio
and change its
orientation, and the
way in which we add
and remove colour
enriches the surface
of the painting with
scars, revealing the
struggle behind its
creation”.
